Ok, die Vintage Badekleider sind jetzt nicht ganz so mein Ding, aber ich habe automatisch an all die heissen Kleidungsstücke gedacht, die mir in der Vergangenheit in einem Geschäft sofort ins Auge gesprungen sind, die ich dann aber nicht gekauft habe, weil ich mich aus dem einen oder anderen Grund nicht getraut hätte, sie auch tatsächlich anzuziehen. Solche Stücke sind doch geradezu prädestiniert dazu, eingerahmt zu werden... Also habe ich noch ein paar Bilder von Kleidungsstücken als Inspirationsquellen gesucht:

Ok, so the vintage swimwear isn't entirely my thing but I automatically thought of all the hot fashion pieces I would instantly spot at a shop but then wouldn't buy because I knew for one reason or the other I would never wear them in public. These pieces really are just predestined to be framed and hung up... So I searched for some pictures of clothes for inspiration:

Lola Donoghue Fashion Illustration

Ich habe Euch in der Vergangenheit ja schon einige Bezugsquellen für Bilder gezeigt (s. Label "Kunst") und insbesondere auf Etsy findet man zum Glück immernoch erschwingliche Kunst, darunter die von mir so geliebte Modeillustration. Heute möchte ich Euch die Werke von Lola Donoghue (Link zu ihrem Shop hier) zeigen - ihre Art zu zeichnen, finde ich einfach genial und die Motive sprechen mich absolut an. Es gibt viele Modeillustrationen auf Etsy, aber häufig sind sie mir zu kitschig oder erinnern mich zu sehr an japanische Komik-Kunst. Lolas Bilder alllerdings finde ich äusserst "sophisticated" - Grund genug, mir ein Exemplar zuzulegen!

I've posted sources for wall art before (check out the label "Kunst", = art) and especially on etsy you can still find affordable art, most of all my beloved fashion illustration. Today I wanted to show you some works of artist Lola Donoghue (follow this link to her shop) - I adore her way of drawing and her motifs are abstolutely stunning. There's tons of fashion illustration available on etsy but a lot of the time I find the illustrations too tacky or they remind me too much of japanese comic art. But Lolas illustrations are really sophisticated - reason enough to get me one!

Dekorieren mit Schmuck --- decorating with jewelry

Im Post "Dekorieren mit Kleidern" (Link hier) konntet Ihr Bilder des Bloggers The Coveteur (Link hier) sehen, welche die Kleider seiner Gastgeberinnen zeigen. Ich fand die Kleider so dekorativ, dass ich unbedingt über diese Dekorationsidee posten musste. Nun habe ich mir nochmals einige Bilder von The Coveteur angeschaut und habe diese super Idee mit drapierten Ketten gesehen. Ich habe zwar schon mal einen Post gemacht mit dem Titel "die Kette und das Bild" (Link hier), wollte Euch diese neuen Bilder aber auch noch zeigen. Die Bilder dienen zwar eigentlich dazu, die Schmuckkollektion der jeweils besuchten Stilikone zu zeigen, aber diese Dekorationsidee haut mich einfach um! Das muss ich unbedingt nachmachen!!

I really liked the way the clothes were presented as a decoration idea so I had to share them with you. Now I've had a look at a couple of other home stories by The Coveteur and saw several pictures with jewelry vignettes and I just LOVE that idea. I have posted about necklaces on picture frames and mirrors before (follow this link) but I really wanted to show you these additional pictures. I'm so gonna apply this in my apartment!!

ran an die Hutschachtel --- hatbox, here I come

Ich habe ja schon über das Dekorieren mit Schachteln gepostet (Link hier) und vielleicht sind Euch da die Schiaparelli-Hutschachteln aufgefallen - die finde ich einfach genial. Vor längerer Zeit habe ich mir dann über ebay grosse runde Schachteln bestellt, die noch völlig unbehandelt sind (s. Bild, Produktlink hier). Seither stehen diese Schachteln einfach unfertig rum, weil ich mir bislang noch keine grossen Gedanken über die Dekoration gemacht habe. Für mich - und Euch - darum mal ein paar Inspirationen:

It's been a couple of months already that I bought 2 unpainted round boxes via ebay (s. picture, you can find them through this link) and they've just been sitting around unfinished, waiting for me to finally turn my attention to them. The reason why I haven't painted them yet was because I hadn't spent any thoughts on how to decorate them. So for me - and for you - a couple of inspirational images:

Kürzlich hatte ich ein Hammmer-Tutorial auf MadeByGirl (Link hier) gesehen, in dem Jana Bek (zu ihrer Webseite geht's hier) zeigte, wie sie einer Lampe einen Kelly-Wearstler-Anstrich verpasst hat. Dieses Muster liesse sich auch auf diese Schachteln übertragen und würde einfach genial aussehen!

A few weeks ago I saw an amazing tutorial on MadeByGirl (follow this link) where Jana Bek (visit her website through this link) showed in pictures how she gave a lamp a Kelly Wearstler make over. That pattern would also look great on these hatboxes!

Ileana Hunter

Ich poste immer wieder Bezugsquellen für Bilder und andere Kunstwerke und heute möchte ich Euch die Bleistiftzeichnungen von Ileana Hunter zeigen (zu ihrem Etsy-Shop geht's hier). Ich bin total baff, dass diese Bilder mit Bleistift gezeichnet wurden, die Mimik dieser Hollywoodgrössen ist wirklich hervorragend getroffen und die Bilder sehen fast schon wie Fotografien aus. Und weil ich einen Schwäche für das alte Hollywood habe, gefallen mir diese Portraits natürlich ganz besonders...
